What Images can I see?

In this part of the site, we have brought together photographs, slides and other pictures to show you what the Great Hospital looks like today. There are also some pictures of other medieval hospitals, both in England and on the Continent.

How do I view the images?

Viewing the images is very simple - all you have to do is click on a 'thumbnail' (the small image), and a box will pop-up with a larger image for you to view. A description will also appear under the image, telling you what it is and where it comes from.

Can I use the images?

While you are more than welcome to view the images on this site, we ask that you do not reproduce them in your own research or publication without first seeking written permission.

In particular, you must seek copyright for images held by the British Library, Norfolk Record Office and National Archives (formerly the Public Record Office).
